Dr. Onur Erol is an esteemed figure in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with a career spanning several decades and marked by numerous groundbreaking contributions to the field. He began his medical education at Istanbul University, graduating in 1965, and went on to complete a residency in general surgery at Hacettepe University, followed by a plastic surgery residency. His extensive training included fellowships at prestigious institutions like Eastern Virginia Medical School, the University of Miami, and Baylor College of Medicine, where he specialized in microsurgery and conducted advanced clinical research.

Dr. Erol has held various academic and clinical positions, including roles as Assistant and Associate Professor at Hacettepe University, and later as Professor and Head of the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at both Kadir Has University and Istanbul Science University. His hospital affiliations have included esteemed institutions such as Hacettepe Hospital, V.K.V. American Hospital, and Florence Nightingale Hospital.

Dr. Erol is a pioneer in several surgical techniques and innovations that have gained international recognition. His contributions include the “Turkish Delight” cartilage graft technique in rhinoplasty, the Curtain Technique for scar treatment, and a unique mastopexy method that leaves minimal scarring. His work is extensively published, and he has been invited to present at numerous international congresses, establishing him as a thought leader in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
